About us

C&O Journey

In 2019, under the vast Texan sky, our family’s journey began out of necessity. Struggling with health issues, we were propelled to fundamentally change our lives—from the food we ate to the products we used. The hardest part of this new path was finding truly natural skincare for our daughters' sensitive skin. That deep desire to protect and nourish our children planted the first seeds of C&O Skincare.

I'm Sally, the heart of this endeavor. The search for skincare that aligned with our values felt endless and frustrating. I knew there had to be a better way.

Our pivotal moment arrived on the golden sands of Destin, Florida. A perfect family getaway was marred by a painful sunburn that left us all in discomfort. Seeing my husband and two little girls wincing from their tender skin, I remembered a little creation I had tucked away—a nourishing cream of tallow and coconut oil, born from quiet experiments in my kitchen.

"Here, try this," I offered my husband. Skeptical but in pain, he applied the unassuming cream to his sun-kissed back. The effect was almost immediate. A sigh of relief escaped his lips as the cream worked its magic, soothing the burn and allowing him a peaceful night's sleep. The next morning, the results were undeniable.

That sunrise in Destin was the dawn of a new purpose. We returned to Texas with a fire in our hearts to transform my humble, homemade remedy into something more.

With my daughters as my biggest cheerleaders and my husband as my rock, our kitchen became a laboratory of love. I dove headfirst into researching the profound benefits of nature's oils and the nourishing power of tallow. Late nights were filled with blending and creating, driven by a shared vision of crafting something truly special.

Slowly, with the love of my family woven into every step, C&O Skincare took shape. This journey has been about sharing a piece of our hearts—a testament to our family's commitment to natural living.

C&O Skincare is our love letter to you. It’s an invitation to break free from the harsh chemicals of conventional skincare and feed your skin the goodness it deserves. From our family to yours, we invite you to experience the C&O difference.

Welcome to the family.

2019

It starts with a question

Facing health issues as a family, we changed everything — the food we ate, the products we used. But we couldn't find truly natural skincare for our daughters' sensitive skin. So Sally started reading labels, then started making her own.

2020

The kitchen becomes a laboratory

Quiet experiments with grass-fed tallow and nature's oils, batch after batch, late night after late night. The girls were the cheerleaders; the kitchen table was headquarters.

August 2024

Destin, Florida

A family beach getaway, too much sun, and a little jar of homemade tallow cream from Sally's bag. It comforted Dad's dry, tight skin enough for a peaceful night's sleep — and the next morning, he asked her to make more. We drove back to Texas with a purpose.

October 2024

C&O skincare is born

Our homemade remedy became a real company: small batches, handcrafted in Dallas, every jar made the way we'd make it for our own girls. We named it C&O, for Chantal and Olivia the two girls this whole journey was for.

2025

The family grows

The line expands beyond the original creams: the men's collection for the dads and the gym bags, the tallow lip balm flavored with organic flavor oils — never essential oils — because lips deserve the same care.

EWG Verified®

We submitted our formulas to the Environmental Working Group's independent review — the strictest standard for ingredient safety and transparency in skincare. Four of our products earned the EWG Verified® mark. For a family that started this journey reading labels and finding nothing we trusted, seeing that seal on our own jars felt like coming full circle.
